    Overview of the National Guard Bureau's Safety Program Evaluation and Continual Evaluation (SPE/CE)

    This presentation will provide an overview of the National Guard Bureau's Safety Program Evaluation and Continual evaluation (SPE/CE) including the Bird/wildlife Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) program, with an emphasis on COVID-19 resiliency in operations. The presentation will discuss base engineering strategies and projects related to BASH management for NGB units, which are often collocated with military installations and commercial airports.


    Lt Col Jason B. Seibert is currently assigned as a Flight Safety Officer, for the Air National Guard (ANG) at the Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, MD. In this position, Lt Col Seibert represents the Director of Safety on all matters pertaining to Flight Safety, as well as the policy, guidance, and training affecting more than 107,100 Guard members in more than 88 flying units and 200 geographically separated units throughout The United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands. He serves as the Functional Area Manager for ANG Flight Safety, coordinating ANG safety personnel to meet AF expeditionary force and wartime theater requirements.


    Lt Col Seibert was born on July 28, 1973 in Langley, VA. As a dependent he lived in a variety of locations throughout the United States and attended High School at Clear Spring High School in MD graduating in 1991. He entered the Air Force in 1992, serving 8 years of active duty including assignments at Bolling AFB, DC, Kunsan ROK and Andrews AFB, MD. He continued his military career with the West Virginia ANG in Oct 2001. Where he has a flown the C-130, C-5 and C-17. While serving he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Coronet Oak. Additionally, Lt Col Seibert was selected to support USSOC and flew the RC-26 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.


    He currently resides in Maryland and has two adult children, a daughter Lauren, a junior in college, and a son Daniel. He plans to return to his civilian airline career in October and move back to Orlando, Florida.

    Face masks are required when not eating or drinking. Brio does a great job of safely hosting these events and will take your temperature when you walk in the door and hand sanitizer will be readily available. Brio will work to implement social distanced seating at tables as much is feasible.

(WWIA) serves our nation's combat-wounded Purple Heart recipients by providing world-class outdoor sporting activities as a means to recognize and honor their sacrifice, encourage independence and connections with communities, and promote healing and wellness through camaraderie and a shared passion for the outdoors.



    More than 50 veteran students and companies attended the 2019 Fall Networking Event on October 8 hosted by the University of South Florida’s Office of Veteran Success.


    Rick Sloop, SAME Tampa Post President, along with Stephanie Thoresen, USA Environmental, Inc./Post Past President spoke to veterans about their career aspirations while helping with their networking skills as they prepare for their transition from college to a career.
